Message from the Dean
At the entrance to Brigham Young University are two statements: “The world is our campus” and “Enter to learn, go forth to serve.” These statements are particularly true with regard to the work of Religious Education. Each semester, nearly 30,000 students—hailing from all fifty states and scores of countries from around the world—participate in religion courses on many vital topics. Numerous courses are offered on the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, doctrine, family history, comparative religions, teachings of modern prophets, Church History, and LDS marriage and family. The knowledge gained and testimonies strengthened by quality religious educational experiences, fortified by mentored learning and research experiences, will go with these students as they serve others in the coming years throughout the world. Please help us in our efforts to extend the influence of Religious Education beyond the Provo campus through our teaching, research, and publications that will be “intellectually enlarging, spiritually enlightening, character building, and leading to lifelong service and learning.” Your contribution can make a difference. Your gift will not only bless students today, but generations to come.
Sincerely,
Daniel K Judd, Dean
