Biography

Dr. Andrew Reed studied Russian and European history at Arizona State University and holds Masters degrees from the University of Oxford and from the University of Cambridge. He is currently working on a monograph on the well-known Russian orientalist and hebraist Daniil Avraamovich Khvol'son and Religious Tolerance in nineteenth-century Russia. One of the major themes within his work is the development and history of relations between Jews, Christians, and Muslims. He teaches comparative religion courses and church history. He is a Richard L. Evans Fellow of the Brigham Young University Office of Religious Outreach and an organizer and participant for the Jewish - Latter-day Saint academic dialogue (learn more here: https://ro.byu.edu/jewish-lds-academic-dialogue) or read the latest piece written for the Religious Education Review (Fall 2017).
